OUR HOMELAND

Our small winery is located not far from the Nahe river in Bingen-Sponsheim and is geographically part of the Rheinhessen wine-growing region. We cultivate almost 2 hectares on which our Rieslings, Silvaner, Pinot Noir and Müller-Thurgau grow.

Our floors today are characterized by old river terraces of the Nahe river. This terrace sediment and the deep roots of the old vines, give our wines a light body and a very fruity aroma.

UNSER WEG

Good wine is no coincidence, but the result of a year full of passion and energy. We do what we do out of conviction and with passion and we are always ready to explore new ways to bring the quality we want into the wine glass. Producing an excellent wine is not the only goal of our work. We also focus on the constant improvement of our soil and biodiversity.

As part of the project "Blühendes Rheinhessen", we are creating living space for wild bees and other insects on the surfaces of our vineyard, with the aim of making our region more diverse and livable. Not only for wild bees, but also humans, our soil and terroir.

If you open a Schuhmacher wine, it does not only mean that you can enjoy a good wine. It also means that you have a piece of our homeland in the glass, from vines that shared their place in the sun with nature.
